- Tip 3: Don't get bogged down in detail
There's nothing more frustrating than listening to somebody talking about unnecessary detail. Remember Tip 2? Now compare it with this example, “So there I was on the bus, it was about 8:00 in the morning, I think, no, maybe it was 7:55 and I was listening to One Direction, no, I think it was Coldplay, and then . . .” Annoying, isn't it? You will quickly lose your audience if you do this, so cut out the unimportant details and press on with the story.
